Version 2.0 (4 November 2026)
A big update: you now set everything up inside the app, it supports the new CRS XML schema 3.0, and you can fix errors and correct filed submissions without leaving it.
New
- Set up inside the app. Enter your financial institution's details and match your spreadsheet's columns in the app itself. The website configurator and emailed configuration files are no longer needed.
- Three guided steps. The main window takes you through FI details, your spreadsheet, and generating the XML. Each step opens when the one before is done, and the next button to press is shown in blue.
- CRS XML schema 3.0. Choose the schema version your tax authority asks for: 2.0, or the new 3.0 required by most tax authorities from 2026 data. Every file is checked against that official OECD schema.
- Joint accounts. Accounts held by more than one person are reported once for each holder, with the number of joint holders.
- Correcting a filed submission. If you find a mistake after filing, the app compares your corrected spreadsheet with what you submitted and creates a correction file with only the changed accounts (CRS702). Corrections never count against your licence.
- Fix errors in the app. A Fix Errors window lists the errors by kind, each with a code (E01 to E12) and a plain-words fix. Correct the cells there, or leave out rows that don't belong such as test accounts. Every change is checked at once, and the app saves a corrected copy of your spreadsheet. Your original file is never changed.
- AI column suggestions (optional). For unusual or foreign-language column names, the app can suggest which column is which. Only column names and masked sample values are sent, and only after you agree.
- Free trial licence. Try every feature for a month with up to 25 accounts. Trial files are test data, for your tax portal's test area.
- User guide. Press F1 for step-by-step help, the common errors and how to fix them. It works offline.
Improved
- Every problem at once. The whole spreadsheet is checked in one pass. You get an errors list and a warnings list that open in Excel, with the row, account, column, value and the problem in plain words.
- More checks before filing. Country and currency codes, length limits, dates, amounts and payments are checked, and rows of the same account must agree. A file that fails the official schema check is never kept.
- Excel files. Pick the worksheet to read. Account numbers, TINs and post codes keep their leading zeros, and you are warned when Excel has stored one as a number.
- Amounts. Amounts are rounded to two decimals, and every amount that had to be adjusted is listed in a report.
- Placeholder TINs. TINs such as 0, 999999999 or N/A are flagged as warnings, so you can check them before filing.
- Large files. About 7 seconds for 11,000 accounts, with a progress bar.
- Fair counting. Each account counts once per licence, however many times you generate it, so running a file again after a fix costs nothing. A run that stops with errors never counts.
- Safe output. Each run goes into its own new dated folder, so earlier files are never overwritten. If a run is interrupted, for example by a power cut, no half-written files are left and nothing is counted twice.
Fixed
- Account holders resident in different countries are always put in the right country's file.
- Payments on a later row of an account are no longer reported as errors by mistake.
Please note
- New licence files. Licences are now signed files, and licence files made for version 1.0 no longer work. Contact us and we will send you a new one at no cost.
- Your existing configuration file keeps working.
